We got checked in and to our room. They had to run some tests on Logan today and put an IV in his hand. He wasn't too thrilled with any of it. The staff decided he might be more cooperative with a sedative...and they were right! They completed the tests and got to take a nap this afternoon. Sure wish I could crawl in bed with him and snuggle with him right now. Jen and I are holding up pretty well. I was able to get us checked in at the Ronald McDonald house and just got back to the hospital a little while ago.
This picture is a bit deceiving...right now Jen is pacing up and down the halls with Logan in her arms desperately trying to get the Logasaurus to calm down. Looks like it worked...she just walked back into the room and he is quiet in her arms now. I think we have a long night ahead of us. His surgery is first thing in the morning.
Dear Logan, I'm writing this with Grammie's help - she can spell better than I can. I'm making a list of all the things that we will do when you get back home. Here's what I have so far:
ReplyDelete1. Have a big slumber party. I think we should invite all of the twins from the MOM groups. What do you think? Maybe 20 babies just like us - don't want to get it too big. Mom would go nuts - and Dad, well, we could watch his hair fall out! What a hoot!
2. Have an end of summer barbeque. We'll have Dad add a bit of honey barbeque sauce to our bottles so we can join in the fun - it sucks when you don't have teeth to eat meat! Maybe we can get Mom and Dad to give up a sip of Corona.
3. Jump in our beds until the mattresses sag. This one will give us some aerobic exercise and get our legs in shape!
4. Put a saddle on Kona and ride her around the block a few times. Best idea I could come up with since Mom and Dad said Santa can't put a pony down the chimney.
5. Go to Hawaii with Mom, Dad, Grammie, Papa, Gigi and Great Papa so we can surf and drink Mai Tais. (Don't worry - we'll leave them on the beach so you and I can cruise the shoreline for hot babes for you and cute guys for me). I already tried on my bikini and my little pot belly looks great!
Let me know what you think of out list. Grammie, Papa and I are waiting for you to be all fixed and come home. Gotta go - time to swig down some more milk and raise hell! I'm keepin' Grammie on her toes. Someone's gotta do and it might as well be me! See you in a few days.
Love, you sissie Maddi
Wow maddi you are soo funny!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that you are out of your surgery and sleeping peacefully. Giant hugs to you, Mom & Dad. Love you guys!
